Biography of Freddy Benstein, Founder of EntropicTees Life Time Line of EntropicTees founder, Freddy Benstein. 1959 - Born in Christmas, Michigan to isolated, reclusive parents 1974 - ran away from home 1974 - 1975 - homeless waif 1975 - picked up by state police and taken to orphanage 1977 - released from orphanage, begins study of German, Mongolian, and ancient Greek 1978 - travel to ancient Greece for intensive language study begins study of Spanish, Swahili and Bosnian 1978 - 1979 - Walked from St. Petersberg (Leningrad at that time) to Shanghai, crossing two continents by foot. 1979 - 1983 - Worked as fisherman in small Japanese coastal town of Noto. 1983 - returned to US and settled in Los Angeles. 1983 - 1990 - spent many years exploring various career options, mostly in the TV and film industries. 1990 - 1992 - Found some success working as double for actors, including Mark Hamil. 1992 - Invested most of his savings in several failed Reality TV shows, which were just barely ahead of their time and a little bit off. Attempted Reality shows included such titles as: American Accountant, Graven Image of the Western Hemisphere, Fun Factor, Tickled to Death, Scared to Death, Rent-a-Cops, and The Most Dangerous Game. 1993 - Having failed in Hollywood, he decided to capitalize on his love of dogs and became a cross-country dog trainer 1993 -1995 - Cross-country dog training business grows into nationwide company, PAA (Paws Across America) 1995 - Inherited small fortune from a distant relative. 1995 - Suffered near death experience while vacationing in the Ozarks. Nearly fully recovered in six months, but forced to give up PAA. During recovery, Benstein was visited in frighteningly vivid dreams by Regis Philbin, who shared with him a mathematical formula for designing clothing based on his dreams. At the end of 1995, Benstein took steps to bring about the birth of EntorpicTees in early 1996.
